2.339 billion! China Construction Won the EPC Project of Iraq Airport

Recently, China State Construction and the Civil Aviation Administration of Iraq won the bid for the EPC project of Iraq’s Nasiriyah International Airport, which was signed by China State Construction International and China Construction First Bureau. The winning bid amount is approximately RMB 2.339 billion.

The project is located in Nasiriyah, the capital of Ziqar Province, Iraq. The project content mainly includes the new main terminal building, VIP terminal building, air management building, cargo building, hotel, administrative office building, fire rescue station and ancillary facilities, new construction and reconstruction of the airport Connecting lines and upgrading runways, aprons, etc.

The planned annual passenger flow of the project is 750,000. After completion, it will become the aviation center in southwestern Iraq, which is of great significance for improving the regional traffic in southwestern Iraq, accelerating regional development, and enhancing the regional investment environment.
