YORK and the Petromin brand Electromin signed a memorandum of understanding at the Al-Dabbagh Group headquarters in Jeddah to develop economic cooperation through energy supply and power generation services to coordinate the operation of Electromin facilities. The memorandum of understanding also includes preventive maintenance for all company branches and facilities.

YORK is a leading integrated solution provider in HVAC-R, fire protection, safety and security systems, building management systems and controls. YORK CEO Dr. Mohanad Al Shaikh represents Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon and Yemen. Electromin's representative is Kalyana Sivagananam, CEO of Petromin. Petromin conducts business in the food industry, automotive services, fuel retail, housing, and packaging industries.
The memorandum of understanding includes strengthening and developing joint economic cooperation between YORK and Electromin, and studying the prospects of establishing commercial relations within and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The memorandum of understanding includes research and cooperation to use alternative energy sources such as solar energy to supply and generate energy in different Electromin facilities.
He said that the memorandum of understanding includes YORK's implementation of alternative energy projects under the BOO model (build, own and operate), provided that Electromin purchases energy from it under a power purchase agreement. He pointed out that according to the memorandum of understanding, YORK will provide the best energy equipment and monitoring services for Electromin facilities. Dr. Mohanad Al Shaikh said in a signed statement: “The cooperation with Electromin will provide energy audit services to Electromin and some of its affiliates, such as Petromin Nissan Express, Diesel Express, Petromin Autocare, gas stations, office facilities, and Petromin's other industrial and commercial facilities. Al Shaikh added that YORK will conduct audits and provide services to help Electromin save energy and improve the efficiency and safety of its facilities, in addition to proposing solutions to achieve savings and potentially reduce environmental footprints.Editor/XingWentao
