On January 12, 2022, the commencement ceremony of the Yongping-Changning Expressway (Changning Section) in Yunnan and the launching ceremony of the Mi-Chang-Chang Chain project were officially held in Lijie Township, Changning County.

According to reports, the three expressways of Yongchang (Yongping-Changning), Michang (Midu-Changning) and Changlian (Changning-Lianziqiao) are an important part of Baoshan's transportation planning. The main line of the Changning section of Yongchang Expressway, which is under construction this time, is 45.6 kilometers long. It starts from the Sijili River at the junction of Yongping County and Changning County, passes through Lijie Township, Zhangshui Town, and Changning County Town, and ends at Jiujia Village, Tianyuan Town, Changning County. Near Hongmu Village on the southeast side, it is connected to Jianchangbao Expressway. The project has 42 bridges, including 5 extra-large bridges, and 5 tunnels, including 3 extra-long tunnels, with a bridge-to-tunnel ratio of 70.68%. The estimated total investment is about 13 billion yuan. It is planned to be completed and put into use in 2025.

The Mi-Chang Expressway starts at the junction of Wuyin Township, Weishan County, Dali Prefecture, and Zhujie Township, Changning County, and ends near Dongmulong on the southeast side of Lijie Township, Changning County. The Laijie Junction is set up to connect to Yongchang Expressway and the section within Changning. The total length is 22.7 kilometers, the bridge-tunnel ratio of the project is 68.78%, and the estimated investment is 5.1 billion yuan. Changlian Expressway starts from the vicinity of Jiujia Redwood Village on the south side of Changning County, and connects Yongping to Changning Expressway and Changbao Expressway, and passes through Tianyuan Town, Wengdu Town, Jifei Town, Kas Town and Wandian in Changning County. The townships include Mulaoyuan Township, Shidian County, Bailang Township, and Xiaomengtong Town, Yongde County, Lincang City. It ends near Lianzi Bridge and is 73.9 kilometers long in Changning. The bridge-tunnel ratio of the project is 62.13%, and the estimated investment is 15.09 billion Yuan.

At present, the construction of Yongchang Expressway has started, and the preliminary work of the two projects of Michang Expressway and Changlian Expressway is progressing steadily and has made substantial progress. The start of the construction of these three expressways marks the further improvement of the construction of Baoshan expressway network and the level of internal and external connections.
