On January 13, 2021, the bidding process for a major road upgrade project in Chile is starting. Route 68 connects Chile's capital, Santiago, with the important coastal city of Valparaiso and Viña del Mar.

The 105-kilometer-long highway carries a heavy traffic load, with around 37.5 million vehicles using the route between the beginning of January and the end of November 2021. This route does carry a lot of heavy vehicles in and out of both ports. Keywords: engineering construction, engineering news
