Chinese power transmission and distribution equipment supplier Chint Group is building a 550-megawatt solar power plant to be deployed on a fish pond in Wenzhou, a city in China's Zhejiang Province with a subtropical marine monsoon climate.
According to the project developer, the area is hot and rainy in summer, and frequent coastal typhoons, high salt and high humidity conditions bring many challenges to photovoltaic power plants. The facility covers an area of approximately 4,933,333.3 square meters and is located on the beach in the closed area of Oufei, an industrial cluster in southern Zhejiang. It is built from about 1.4 million glass-glass monocrystalline solar modules, each with an output of 450 watts, supplied by Chint's Chint Energy division.
Inverter manufacturer Kstar has announced its GSM3125C-MV35 inverter turnkey solution for the project. The 550MW solar fishing plant is the largest in Asia," a Kstar spokesman said in a statement. "It is connected to the State Grid Corporation of China's network. Keywords: engineering construction, engineering news
The GSM3125C-MV35 inverter solution was chosen to ensure long-term operational stability of the plant, as the inverter has a strong corrosion protection rating and reliable performance," the spokesperson continued, noting that the solution is equipped with an IP54 protection rating , C5 anti-corrosion, anti-PID and PID recovery, especially suitable for offshore photovoltaic power generation in areas with high temperature, high humidity and high salt spray. "It also includes an energy storage interface to facilitate potential future upgrades of the system. "Editor/XingWentao
