The courtyard house, also known as the courtyard house, is a traditional courtyard house in China. Its layout is a courtyard surrounded by houses on all sides. The courtyard is surrounded by the courtyard from the four sides, so it is called the courtyard house.

The courtyard is a house with a gatehouse in front of the courtyard. The "mouth" shape is called the one-in courtyard; the "day" shape is called the two-in courtyard; the "mesh" shape is called the three-in courtyard. In the courtyard courtyard, the first entrance is the gate house, the second entrance is the hall, and the third or later entrance is the private room or boudoir. Most people are not allowed to enter at will.

Quadrangle has a history of more than three years, and Beijing Quadrangle is the most typical among the various courtyards in China. Its architectural pattern embodies the traditional thought of hierarchy and respect and the five elements of Yin and Yang.

Up to now, with the drastic changes in the structure of the family, the residence of the traditional courtyard house has been challenged, the contemporary society is developing rapidly, and the population is increasing. The disadvantages of the courtyard house are gradually emerging, and of course its advantages are irreplaceable.

At present, the protection of the old quarters of the courtyard house has been successively carried out, and the renovation and repair of the original courtyard house has become a necessary task. In 2006, Beijing released the "Building Elements Map of the Beijing Courtyard", which has also become a reference for the protection, repair, renovation, and reconstruction of the Courtyard. (Please refer to www.seetao.com for reprinting) Seetao strategy editor / Zhang Xianglong
