Argentine Transport Minister Alexis Guerrera met with CRCC executives to push for the reopening of the San Martín Cagas line, after CRCC was awarded a $2.6 billion contract that includes 1813 km of railways were updated.
The roughly 1,000-kilometer line runs from Retiro in Buenos Aires to Mendoza near the Chilean border. The reopening of the line is included in Argentina's plan to modernize rail transport overseen by Guerrera and will have a direct impact on the regional economies of Mendoza, San Luis, Córdoba, Santa Fe and Buenos Aires.
