China Power Construction announced on the evening of January 18 that recently, China Power Construction Group International Engineering Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Power Construction Co., Ltd., and Missan International Refinery and Chemical Company signed an EPC general contract for the Iraq Missan Refinery and Chemical Plant Project. The contract value is about 880 million US dollars, equivalent to about 5.605 billion yuan.

The project is located in Muthana City, Missan Province, Iraq. The main contents of the project include the design, procurement and construction of 10 sets of main process equipment, public works, storage and transportation works and related auxiliary systems in the factory area. In Iraq, dating back to 2017, POWERCHINA signed contracts for the first time for refining and chemical projects - Iraq's Samawah Petroleum Refinery and Egypt's Sokhna Oil Refinery Project, successfully entering the oil and gas field and making major breakthroughs in the petrochemical field. Subsequently, POWERCHINA has been deeply engaged in this field and successively signed several contracts. With great accumulation, this time we won the Iraqi Missan refinery project with a value of 5.6 billion, which shows the Iraqi market's recognition of POWERCHINA's strength in refining and chemical projects!

China Power Construction International Engineering Co., Ltd., which won the bid this time, is the world's largest, strongest and most influential water conservancy, power and infrastructure construction group - the international business headquarters and Core business. Power Construction International takes the power business as its development core, adheres to the "dual energy drive" of project contracting and investment and development, and focuses on the development of four major business sectors: hydropower and water affairs, thermal power and power grids, transportation engineering, and new energy.
