Recently, CITIC Group announced that the preliminary design of the reconstruction and expansion project of the Suizhong (Ji-Liaojie) to Panjin section of the Beijing-Harbin Expressway has been approved by the Ministry of Transport, and the construction will be fully started in the first half of 2022.

According to reports, the section from Suizhong to Panjin is an important part of the Jingha Expressway. Since its completion and opening to traffic, the traffic volume has grown rapidly. In 2010, Liaoning Province started the preliminary work of the expansion project of the Suizhong to Panjin section, which lasted for more than ten years of research, Demonstration, the project has made substantial progress by the end of 2021. From October 28th to 30th, 2021, the Ministry of Transport organized relevant units to conduct an on-site investigation and hold a review meeting on the preliminary design of the reconstruction and expansion project of the Suizhong (Hebei-Liaojie) to Panjin section of the Jingha Expressway. After detailed evaluation and consultation, In December 2021, the preliminary design of the project was successfully approved.

The project passes through three prefecture-level cities, Huludao, Jinzhou and Panjin, with a construction mileage of 238 kilometers, an approved investment of about 31 billion yuan, and a construction period of about 54 months. The project generally adopts the method of widening on both sides, from the original two-way six-lane to the two-way ten-lane expressway standard. After the project is completed, it will become the 10-lane expressway with the longest mileage in the country.

The roadbed width is 55.0 meters and the design speed is 120km/h. There are 4 extra-large bridges, 30 bridges, and 49 middle bridges; 61 small bridges and 124 culverts; 26 separate overpasses across the main line; 15 separate overpasses under the main line; 28 overpasses and 304 passages There are 18 interchanges, including 5 hubs and 13 service interchanges; 6 service areas, 2 monitoring sub-centers, 4 maintenance work areas, and 6 educational aid service stations.

After the project is implemented, it will be the first long-distance ten-lane expressway in China, and it will have a strong demonstration and leading role in the construction of super multi-lane expressways in China. At the same time, the project is also one of Liaoning's Shenyang-Dalian Expressway (the first four-lane expressway in China), Shenshan Expressway (the first six-lane expressway in China), and Shenyang Ring Expressway (the first expressway around the city in China). Highway) and the Shenda Expressway Reconstruction and Expansion Project (the first eight-lane expressway in China), the fifth landmark highway project.

The Jingha Expressway is one of the seven radial routes in the capital in the national expressway network.
