The National Energy Administration announced the national power industry statistics in 2021. The national installed capacity of power generation is about 2.38 billion kilowatts, and the installed capacity of wind power is about 330 million kilowatts. The newly installed capacity of wind power and photovoltaic power generation exceeded 100 million kilowatts.

As of the end of December, the national installed capacity of power generation was about 2.38 billion kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 7.9%. Among them, the installed capacity of wind power was about 330 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 16.6%; the installed capacity of solar power generation was about 310 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 20.9%.

In 2021, the utilization hours of power generation equipment in power plants of 6,000 kilowatts and above will be 3,817 hours, an increase of 60 hours over the same period of the previous year. The investment in power engineering construction of major power generation enterprises in the country was 553 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.5%, of which hydropower was 98.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 7.4%.
