On February 8, 2022, GCL Energy Technology Co., Ltd. and Serbian National Electric Power Company (EPS) signed a shareholder agreement for a renewable energy project. This is the first renewable energy investment project between China and Serbia. The two parties will work together to build green energy along the Belt and Road A model of cooperation.

Serbia is an important partner for China to implement the Belt and Road Initiative in Central and Eastern Europe. The Serbian Electric Power Company (EPS) is the largest state-owned enterprise in Serbia. This cooperation has not only laid a good foundation for Chinese energy companies to deepen the Eastern European market, but also made important contributions to deepening the green energy cooperation between China and Serbia and promoting the transition of green energy between China and Central and Eastern Europe.Editor/XuNing
