On March 7, 2022, Tangshan Public Resources Trading Center released the public announcement of successful bidders for the urban renewal unit of Nanhuxi District, Fengnan, Tangshan City. The project owners are Tangshan Cultural Tourism Investment Group Co., Ltd. and Tangshan Fengnan Financial Investment Development Group Co., Ltd. , China 22nd Metallurgical Group Co., Ltd. took the lead, and the consortium formed by Tianjin Municipal Engineering Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. won the project. The estimated total investment of this project is about 10.383 billion yuan.

Project Overview

The construction site is located in the urban renewal unit of Nanhu West District, Fengnan, Tangshan City, with Xueyuan Road in the east, Binhe North Street in the south, Tangfeng South Road and Qingnian Road in the west, and Nanhu Avenue in the north, with an area of about 6.56 square kilometers; urban renewal projects in the area include: Ecological restoration, renovation and improvement, demolition and resettlement, related public service facilities supporting projects and optimization and renovation of preserved buildings, public service facilities construction, sports and health industry supporting communities and their supporting facilities construction, public service facilities improvement, transportation system improvement and improvement, park city ecology Restoration, improvement of urban functions and quality, renovation and improvement of old communities, new urban construction and smart cities, and improvement of safe and resilient cities, etc. The project will be implemented in the way of “overall packaging, one-by-one implementation, and rolling development”, and the final actual construction content is subject to the annual construction plan approved by the Fengnan District Government. The cooperation period of this project is 15 years (tentative), of which the overall construction period is 5 years.

The completion of the project will explore the market-oriented renewal mechanism, encourage multiple entities to participate in the renewal of blocks and business districts, promote the formation of more demonstrative and popularized urban renewal models, and prepare high-level land and space planning.
