Following the design requirements of "de-industrialization", the institute integrates the local "Sunbird" totem of Texas, and the topographical characteristics of the "Lake Island" within the project site, and is equipped with an automatic cleaning system for the floating body displacement monitoring system components, and a drone patrol system. The bird repellent device in the inspection center and other advanced technologies at home and abroad are currently the largest single floating photovoltaic power station on the water surface in the world.

"Many large-scale reservoirs are water sources and are not suitable for floating photovoltaic projects. Dingzhuang Reservoir only provides cooling water for Huaneng Dezhou Power Plant, which provides prerequisites for project construction." said Wu Peisen, the project leader.
