Vinci and Hochtief are the concessionaires for Greece's new 75km toll highway with an investment of 331 million euros. Procured as a public-private partnership (PPP), the road will run between Patras and Pyrgos in the northern Peloponnese.
Vinci Concessions and its partners Hochtief PPP Solutions, Avax, Aktor Concessions and Gek Terna will be responsible for the design, financing and construction of the road, which will operate until 2044, recovering investment through tolls. The Greek government will provide 217 million euros for the program, with the rest coming from bank loans.
Finch said the new road will cut the driving time between Patras and Pyrgos by about 40 minutes, supporting tourism and economic growth in the Peloponnese. Keywords: engineering construction, engineering news
It extends the PPP highway built in 2017 between Athens, Corinth and Patras, the concession of which is held by Olympia Odos, a 29.9%-owned subsidiary of Vinci Concessions. This newest highway brings the network operated by Vinci Concessions in Greece to 544 kilometers.Editor/XingWentao
