The original site of the CRRC Sifang Zhihui Port project is the Qingdao Sifang Locomotive and Rolling Stock Factory, which was built in 1900. As one of the important development and construction projects of the old Sifang Industrial Zone, the project adheres to the planning concept of industrial heritage protection and renewal, while taking into account the needs of enterprise development and production. Urban integration has expanded the industrial space focusing on the R&D and manufacturing of rail transit equipment, and added public service facilities such as schools and parks.
