The National Energy Administration of China and the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Construction signed a memorandum of understanding in 2012 on establishing a Sino-Danish renewable energy partnership. According to reports, the China-Denmark Energy Partnership Program is currently in its third phase (2020-2025), and the two countries have launched two strategic industry cooperation projects, the China-Denmark Clean Heating Project and the Quality Offshore Wind Power Project.
Ma Lei, Danish Ambassador to China, spoke highly of the important contribution China State Grid has made in tackling climate change. He said that State Grid is the world's largest public utility company and has accumulated rich experience in safe and reliable power supply, new energy development and utilization, and UHV engineering construction. It is hoped that the cooperation between the two sides can be closer, in-depth and long-term, and become a model of energy cooperation between China and Denmark.
