Jiangxi Xinfeng Power Plant is a major energy poverty alleviation project supported by the National Energy Administration to support the revitalization and development of Xinfeng County, the original central Soviet area in southern Gansu. and other major energy projects to be supported by the Inter-ministerial Joint Committee for Revitalization and Development of the former Central Soviet Area.

The project was jointly contracted by China Energy Zhejiang Thermal Power, Zhejiang Research Institute and other units with EPC, and Zhejiang Thermal Power undertook the construction.

On the same day, Unit 1 of Jiangxi Xinfeng Power Plant successfully passed 168 hours of full-load operation, marking the successful commissioning of the unit. During the period, Unit 1 ran stably, all parameters met the requirements of the design technical specifications, the automatic commissioning rate of the unit was 100%, the protection commissioning rate was 100%, the main instrument commissioning rate was 100%, the environmental protection facilities were synchronously commissioned, and the average load of the turbine generator reached the rated value. 99.11% of the load, all indicators are excellent, and it has commercial operation conditions.

The project is located in Xinfeng County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province. The first phase of the project is to build two 660 MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired generating units with a total investment of about 5 billion yuan. Advanced dust removal, desulfurization and denitration equipment are used.
