Recently, the National Railway Group Identification Center organized a feasibility study review meeting for the Guangzhou-Zhuhai-Macao high-speed railway from Hezhou to Hengqin in Beijing. Provincial Railway Investment Group and other units participated in the meeting (video conference).

The meeting listened to the report of the project design unit Tie Siyuan on the feasibility study plan of the Hezhou-Hengqin section. After a detailed discussion, the feasibility study plan was put forward with revision opinions and suggestions, and the design unit was required to verify the revision according to the relevant review opinions, and complete the document revision as soon as possible within the required time, so as to create favorable conditions for the approval of the project feasibility study.

The total mileage of the Guangzhou-Zhuhai-Macao high-speed railway from Hezhou to Hengqin is 21.5 kilometers. The estimated total project investment is 12.613 billion yuan. The project is planned to start construction by the end of 2022. Among them, Zhuhai Hezhou Station is located on Hezhou Island, Zhuhai City. The station is an elevated station. It is arranged in a horizontal row and three stations. Zhaochang is connected to Hengqin Station, and a cross-train connection line from Guangzhou-Zhuhai (Macao) Field to Hengqin will be set up to construct a passenger train route from Hengqin Station to Guangzhou (Shenzhen).

The total scale of the station is 10 stations with 22 lines (including the main line), of which the Zhuzhao station has 5 stations and 11 lines, and the northern end is reserved for the introduction of high-speed rail in the direction of Zhanjiang; the Guangzhou-Zhuhai (Macao) station has 3 stations and 7 lines; The scale of Jiangzhu Intercity Field is 2 sets and 4 lines.

It is reported that the Hezhou-Hengqin section of the Guangzhou-Zhuhai-Macao high-speed railway is one of the main passages of the eight vertical and eight horizontal high-speed railways in the country. The high-standard construction of the Guangzhou-Zhuhai-Macao high-speed railway from Hezhou to Hengqin will strengthen the transportation system of the Guangzhou-Zhuhai-Macao main axis and meet the strong passenger demand.
