On the morning of April 13, 2022, the PC general contracting project of the 200,000-ton/year polypropylene plant II project of the Guangdong Petrochemical Refining and Chemical Integration Project undertaken by the Guangdong Petrochemical Polypropylene Project Department of Jilin Chemical Construction Liaoning Branch officially started construction. Guangdong Petrochemical's 200,000 tons/year polypropylene project is invested by PetroChina Guangdong Petrochemical Branch, covering an area of 31,900 square meters and a total investment of about 790 million yuan.

The device adopts the Horizone gas-phase polypropylene technology of JPP Company of Japan, and the basic engineering design is provided by Sinopec Engineering Construction Co., Ltd. The plant production unit is designed with a polymerization production line, an additive and extrusion granulation line. It can produce polypropylene uncolored pellets of homopolymer, random copolymer, general impact copolymer and high impact (NEWCON) copolymer, with a total of 55 product grades. The main engineering quantities of the project include: 9,160 vertical concrete structures, 3,702 tons of steel structures, 301 sets of various equipment, 144,600 equivalents of pipeline prefabrication, 340 pressure test packages, 264 tons of pipe supports, 9,000 meters of underground pipelines, 76,628 square meters of anti-corrosion, and 3,439 meters of thermal insulation. Vertical, electrical cables 271,300 meters, instrument cables 493,570 meters. The project is scheduled to be handed over on July 30, 2023, and commissioned for commissioning on November 30, 2023.Editor/Ma Xue
