According to the plan, the first phase project of Tingzi Irrigation District will divert water from the Tingzikou hub. The supply area involves 11 counties (cities and districts) in 4 cities of Guangyuan, Nanchong, Guang'an and Dazhou. The average annual water transfer is 391 million cubic meters, and the designed irrigation surface is 1.3594 million mu, The water supply population is 2,219,900. The main trunk canal, the east-west trunk canal and some of the existing reservoir flushing canals of 380 kilometers, 2 pumping stations, 253 main buildings such as tunnels, aqueducts, inverted siphons, sluices, culverts, and machine farming will be built. There are 453 small buildings (blocks) in the canal system such as bridges and pedestrian bridges. In terms of construction period, the planned construction period of the first phase of Tingzikou is 59 months, and it can be completed and put into operation before the end of 2026.

After the completion of the first phase of the Tingzikou Irrigation District project, the serious uneven distribution of water resources in the irrigation area will be completely reversed, and the hat of drought and water shortage in the irrigation area for thousands of years will be removed. On the one hand, it can make drinking water in Yingshan County, old Yilong County, Yuechi County, and Guang'an worry-free, and fundamentally solve the problem of water shortage in the towns along the line; From 37.7% to 71.26%, the average annual grain output can be increased from 508kg/mu to 680kg/mu, the annual output value of various crops and cash crops can be increased by 1.71 billion yuan, and it can provide comprehensive services for industrial and commercial enterprises, industrial parks and important public service units.
