In 1996, after graduating from Zhengzhou Railway Machinery School, Cao Junming came to work in the Yuanlong Contact Network Work Area of Baoji Power Supply Section. Due to his inexperience in the field, he soon felt tremendous work pressure. He took the time to learn professional knowledge by himself, repeatedly asked the masters for the essentials of maintenance work, and took the initiative to find waste materials to practice practical skills during breaks. In less than two years, he stood out from the same group of young workers and became the construction leader of the construction area.

In 2005, the new hydraulic compensator in the Baotian section of the Longhai Line failed. At that time, there was no one in the Chaoyu catenary work area who could repair it, so the manufacturer was asked to send someone to deal with it. In order to master the technical essentials, Cao Junming took the initiative to ask the manufacturer's technicians to learn equipment maintenance skills. Subsequently, the "Hydraulic Compensator Replacement Method" compiled by him became the "operation guide" for on-site maintenance work, and also filled the technical gap in dealing with such failures in this paragraph.

Field trials are everywhere. In 2009, when Cao Junming inspected the catenary equipment in a tunnel on the Longhai Line, he found that the suspension pulley groove distance of the load-bearing cable at the suspension point was small and the wheel groove was deep. "If the ambient temperature changes, the load-bearing cable will be worn back and forth during expansion and contraction, which will easily lead to disconnection accidents." Cao Junming, after repeated tests, proposed to the workshop that "use a large groove pitch to suspend the pulley, and make the edge of the pulley Rounding the inside corners" suggestion. Soon after, this transformation plan was popularized and used in the whole section, eliminating many hidden dangers of power supply safety.

Measurement, inspection, adjustment... The catenary pillar is composed of large and small parts, and it needs to be carefully and finely repaired. In 2013, Xibao high-speed railway was put into operation, which put forward higher standards and requirements for catenary maintenance operations. However, in the Baoji power supply section at that time, the installation of the wrist arm still required operators to complete it at high altitude, which was not only inefficient, but also had safety risks and certain errors. Cao Junming carefully studied the plane installation diagram of the catenary, and invented the "wrist arm pre-configured auxiliary bracket", which realized that all parts of the wrist arm can be pre-configured on the ground in advance, which not only ensures the safety of the operation, but also reduces the operation time by 60%. %.

"Be a skilled worker, otherwise how can you lead everyone to do a good job!" Cao Junming has always adhered to this belief and implemented it into his work. In recent years, he has successively won honors such as All-Road Technical Expert and National Technical Expert.

Under the management of Xi'an Bureau Group Corporation, the Baoji power supply section is responsible for the maintenance of power supply equipment in Longhai, Baozhong, Baocheng, Xiping, Yang'an and other lines. The mountain railway in the pipeline accounts for 80%, with many bridges and low clearance tunnels. The difficult sections with high slopes and small radius curves account for 10.8% of the total length of the line, including the Qinbei section of the Baocheng Line with a maximum slope of 30‰. In December 2013, Cao Junming was employed by the Baoji Power Supply Section as a catenary technician and a part-time teacher in the Vocational Education Department. Cao Junming, who is persistent, loving and striving for perfection, has started a new life journey. When he participated in the research on the adjustment of the b value of the catenary compensation device, he found that after the weight was full, the wire clamp and the weight rod could not be connected. With the "heart disease" that the problem could not be solved effectively, he consulted the teachers of the railway academies again and again, repeatedly analyzed and calculated the force situation, and finally successfully developed a special fixture for adjusting the b-value drop mass rod, which greatly reduced the safety risk of high-altitude work and made The work efficiency is increased by more than 2 times.

Pay attention to learning everywhere. In 2015, when he organized a new worker to study a case of a catenary disconnection accident, he found that factors such as the length of the contact line connection time and whether the installation of the connector clips were in place in the emergency response directly affected the equipment failure time and accident level. Returning to the work area, he carefully observed the sliding law of the sliding door in the slideway, constantly pondered the method to improve the production efficiency and reliability of the contact wire connector, and finally developed the flat push method for the installation of the connector clip, which cracked the contact wire connector clip. The technical difficulties have improved the speed of emergency response to equipment failures.

In May 2016, Cao Junming researched and formulated the whole process of the maintenance method of the catenary ratchet compensation device, which filled the gap in the technical standards of the project, greatly improved the replacement efficiency of the ratchet compensation rope, and was popularized and applied in the power supply system of the global group company. In August 2017, he participated in a number of technical researches such as the wireless temperature and humidity transmission device of the catenary, the passive radio frequency tag positioning technology of the catenary comprehensive detection vehicle, etc., which significantly improved the intelligent level of the catenary maintenance.

The struggle never stops, and the pursuit of dreams never stops. Cao Junming has devoted himself to the research and development of the catenary maintenance problem, exerting all his abilities, trying to apply what he has learned to the production line, and constantly forming results in practice to serve the production. He has participated in and completed 19 major scientific research projects such as the research on the linkage function between the auxiliary monitoring system of the power distribution station and the SCADA system, and the research on the polarity testing technology of the transformer secondary circuit, and has saved more than 5 million yuan in maintenance costs. He bravely became a climber in the field of power supply, drawing his own life trajectory in the inventions and creations again and again.

Begin with the original intention and end with perseverance. Only if you hold on to it can you stay safe. In the 26 years of working in the front-line position, Cao Junming recorded more than 9,000 equipment problems, solved 35 on-site technical problems, and formed 31 "Fault Handling Method Manuals", which became the "secret book" of this section of catenary maintenance.

In 2014, Cao Junming was named "Outstanding Skilled Craftsman in Shaanxi Province", "West Rail Craftsman" in 2017, and "Railway Craftsman" in 2018. In August 2018, the Baoji Power Supply Section "Cao Junming Skills Master Studio" was established, with Cao Junming as the leader. He has compiled 22 issues of business guidance materials, 8 skill training micro-videos such as "Overhaul of Normal-speed Railway Disconnector Switches", "Overhaul of Catenary Ratchet Compensation Device" and 12 kinds of teaching materials including "What Catenary Workers Should Know and Know". 12 catenary training grounds were designed, with 354 hours of on-site teaching.

Most of the catenary equipment in the Baoji power supply section are located in the "three treasures" mountainous areas of Baocheng, Baotian and Baozhong, and many tunnels were built in the 1950s. Problems such as tripping, catenary wire burns and broken strands seriously affect driving safety. In order to grasp the icing situation of the tunnel in time, Cao Junming led the studio members to develop a deicing temperature monitoring system, which reduced the frequency of deicing, improved the efficiency of deicing, and ensured driving safety.

Cao Junming has always adhered to the concept of "use is the best training", and led the team to complete the research on the protection coordination calculation method of the railway power distribution station approved by the IEC method, the research on the voltage regulation and transformer burnout of the 10kV power distribution station, and other topics. Eight technological innovation projects, including the comprehensive unmanned prevention and control system for operation vehicles and the standardization construction of the Longhai line catenary, provide a strong guarantee for the smooth operation of power supply and power equipment.

Light a lamp and illuminate a large area. Cao Junming led the team to participate in the bureau group company and the whole road related skills competition 6 times, and 10 contestants successively won the honorary titles of young post expert, technical expert and all road technical expert of Xi'an Bureau Group Company. He has continuously improved the business skills of young workers through video teaching, fault drills, technical competitions, etc., and has successively trained 15 technicians and 36 senior workers.

The new era is the era of strugglers. In 2019, Cao Junming received special government allowances from the State Council, and in 2021 he was awarded the National May 1st Labor Medal.
