On April 25, 2022, with the completion of the access construction of the high-speed turnout of the Beijing section of the Jingtang Railway, the Jingtang Railway and the Jingha Railway have successfully merged with each other, laying the foundation for the opening of the Jingtang Railway.
The No. 42 turnout installed this time is 157.2 meters long and has a total weight of 232 tons. It is currently the largest and longest high-speed turnout for high-speed rail in China. By inserting the turnout, the rolling stock is transferred from one track to another, thereby realizing the interconnection between the lines, greatly shortening the train transfer time, and improving the traffic efficiency.
