Recently, Mexico City Mayor Claudia Hienbaum inspected the restoration project of Mexico City No. 1 Metro Operation Control Center (hereinafter referred to as: PCC1) constructed by CRRC, and gave a thumbs up to the restoration work of the project team

It turned out that in January 2021, the destruction of PCC1 caused the operating efficiency of Mexico City Metro Lines 1-6 to drop by 50% compared to before. In order to quickly repair PCC1, the Mexico City Metro Bureau handed over the repair work to the project team headed by CRRC. Since the start of the restoration project, the CRRC project team has overcome many difficulties.

Difficulty in technology: The original equipment technology of PCC1 is old, and it is 50 or 60 years behind the current equipment. The equipment interface is complicated and the technology is difficult to realize. The preliminary plan was drawn up in 3 months, and the detailed design was determined in 3 months.

Difficulty in management: The project team members come from all over the world. CRRC has successfully coordinated multi-national teams to overcome difficulties such as time difference, culture and language.

Difficulty in production and transportation: The current global epidemic situation is still severe. On the one hand, the industrial supply chain has seriously affected equipment production. On the other hand, the poor transportation channels have severely restricted the smooth delivery of equipment. Fang resources, the production of the new equipment was completed in 2 months, and it was successfully delivered to the site in less than 1 month.

Claudia Hienbaum learned that since the establishment of CRRC's project team, it is their responsibility to provide customers with excellent system solutions. In just 11 months, the project formulation, product design and production have been successfully completed. A series of work such as manufacturing, equipment transportation, installation and commissioning, she couldn't help but give her thumbs up.

Accompanied by the director of the city's subway bureau, Calderon, Claudia Hienbaum carefully inspected the newly installed equipment and had an in-depth understanding of the development, installation requirements and operating characteristics of the equipment. Congratulations to the project team for their achievements and thanks to every staff member for their hard work.

She emphasized that it is necessary to continue to speed up the repair and testing of the remaining lines, complete the restoration of PCC1 as soon as possible, and do a good job in knowledge transfer and training to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Mexico City Metro. It is believed that with the efforts of the project team, the project will be able to achieve A complete success.

The person in charge of the CRRC PCC1 project said that he is very grateful to the Mexico City Government and the Metro Bureau for their trust and support to CRRC. We will continue to work hard to successfully complete all the restoration work of PCC1, provide local people with green, efficient and intelligent travel services, and contribute to the construction of rail transit in Mexico.
