There are roughly the following categories of energy in human cognition: coal, oil, nuclear energy, wind power, hydropower and tides, etc. With the development and progress of the economy, people have a new height of cognition of energy, and it is generally believed that energy exploitation and The utilization cannot be at the expense of destroying the environment, so the development and utilization of the original oil, coal and other energy sources are turned to the discovery and utilization of new energy.

In fact, the application of wind energy in China appeared very early, of course, it was not used for power generation at that time, such as windmill grinding, windmill pumping water, etc. Wind energy was discovered in the Western world because of its huge destructive power. In the early 18th century, storm disasters swept across the British and French continents, causing unprecedented economic losses. Research, wind power generation came into being.

What is the root cause of Europe's dismantling of wind power?

Once wind power generation has been researched and put into use, it is quickly sought after by people all over the world with its own unique characteristics. Wind power generation is an energy type with almost zero pollution. Wind power generation is not based on the premise of damaging the environment. As long as the wind speed is sufficient and stable, enough electricity can be generated. Wind energy is inexhaustible, and there is no need to worry about one day because of resource exhaustion. No way to go into production. Wind power generation does not require the construction of large-scale centralized facilities and workshops, which greatly reduces the input cost and obtains the greatest profit benefit from a smaller input.

However, in recent years, there have been some subtle changes in the field of wind power generation. Some developed countries in Europe have begun to dislike wind power more and more, thinking that wind power is garbage power, and have begun to gradually reduce the scope of wind power construction.

Europe is the place where the global wind power originated. The wind power industry in Denmark, Sweden, the United Kingdom and other countries is very developed. More than one-third of the electricity comes from wind power. Now these countries are beginning to dislike wind power, which seems unusual. First, the wind energy in Europe has changed in recent years. Due to the long-term ultra-high pressure weather, the offshore wind speed has dropped sharply, and the amount of wind power generation has dropped sharply, which has lowered the expectations of European countries for wind power. Secondly, wind power is greatly restricted by natural factors, and the electricity generated is very unstable. Due to extreme weather, wind power has been shut down, so European countries generally classify wind power as garbage power.

Rona, an adviser to the chairman of the Romanian Senate Environment Committee, said: The loud noise generated by the rotation of wind turbine blades is beyond the range of sound waves that humans can accept. Even a very low noise can be heard five times more than three kilometers away at night. . Since 2011, the law has only allowed wind turbines to be installed more than 500 meters away from residential areas, and even more than 200 wind turbines can be seen around some French villages. These wind turbines are located on the axis of the sun, and the shadows cast by the moving blades will Causes the "stroboscopic" effect, which can cause severe light pollution, especially in sparsely populated areas.

In addition, the construction of wind power generation facilities requires deep digging in the ground, which can easily lead to soil erosion in the area. "Wind power generation will break the original wind cycle and have a serious impact on the regional climate, as shown by monitoring. In the process of generating electricity, wind power generation facilities will change the microenvironment at the downwind of the wind turbine, resulting in an abnormal increase or decrease in temperature. The effect can even be detected up to 60 kilometers downwind of the wind turbine," Rona said. Therefore, some Western scholars believe that wind power is more likely to cause global warming.

Intensive wind power construction will also damage the ecological environment and affect the migration of animals. European environmental protection organizations have a strong voice, and they have been lobbying the government to oppose the large-scale construction of wind power. The most important point is that the economics of investing in wind power in Europe is very low. There is no complete wind turbine production line in Europe, and industrial hollowing does not require much electricity. Therefore, the investment cost of wind power construction is high, but the recovery is far away.

China gives different answers

After the reform and opening up, China's economy and society have developed rapidly. At present, China's economic aggregate ranks second in the world after the United States. Behind the rapid development of the economy is the increasing energy consumption. By 2021, China has become the world's largest energy producer and consumer. According to 2019 data, about 85% of China's energy is in the form of coal, oil and natural gas. .

The energy structure is not green enough, oil and natural gas are highly dependent on foreign countries, and there are certain hidden dangers to energy security. At the same time, the consumption of fossil energy will also bring serious ecological and environmental problems. In recent years, the continuous haze weather in China has had a great impact on production and life, and there are still problems such as low efficiency and serious waste in the utilization of fossil energy in China. Therefore, considering the realization of the dual-carbon goal, energy security, and environmental protection, China's energy structure has reached a point of time when it must be reformed.

Since we want to reform, we must first select the main energy development mode. Due to the strict requirements of geographical location, the ceiling is very obvious. In the short term, nuclear power and bioenergy cannot be promoted and developed on a large scale due to safety and technical issues. In the end, only solar power and wind power are left.

Wind power generation is further divided into two types: onshore wind power and offshore wind power. After the rapid development of onshore wind power in 2019 and 2020, subsidies will be cancelled in 2021 and will enter a stable period. Offshore wind power has become a new favorite due to its abundant resources, high operating efficiency, short transmission distance, and it can be digested and used locally without occupying land. In September 2019, the Chinese Academy of Engineering launched the "Research on Offshore Wind Power Supporting China's Energy Transformation Development Strategy" project, which clarified the development direction of China's future offshore wind power from a strategic perspective. The development of wind power plays an important role in promoting the transformation of China's energy structure and building a low-carbon society. By the end of 2019, the total installed capacity of offshore wind power in China was only 6.42 million kW. Compared with the UK and Germany, we are still in the early stage of offshore wind power development.

Wind power drives the development of the whole industry chain

The coastline of mainland China is 18,000 kilometers long, and the sea area that can be used to develop offshore wind power is huge. Moreover, the main energy consumption area of China is in the eastern coastal area, and there is no need to build UHV power transmission projects to develop wind power near the sea. At the same time, the development of wind power can also promote the development of related industries in coastal areas, drive local employment, and increase economic income.

In recent years, China's related wind power companies have also lived up to expectations, increasing investment in scientific research, making China's offshore wind power technology leap to the forefront of the world. In addition to wind power technology, related wind power hoisting and installation machinery and equipment manufacturing companies have also risen strongly. Zoomlion, Sany, Xugong and other well-known machinery and equipment companies at home and abroad have made concerted efforts in the field of wind power hoisting, helping the successful installation of wind power projects one after another. Not only in China, but also wind power hoisting projects in some countries along the Belt and Road are indispensable. Due to the rapid development of local wind power companies in China, Siemens and Gamesa, the world's leading wind turbine manufacturers, announced that they would suspend their wind turbine sales in China.

The reason why China vigorously develops wind power is that our situation is different from that of the West. China's wind power is mainly built in the northwest region and the sea. It is either sparsely populated or uninhabited at all, and it will not affect people's normal life at all. European countries have limited land resources. Except for offshore wind power development, there are not many other suitable areas. However, China has a vast territory and many areas suitable for wind power construction, such as deserts, Gobi, deserted beaches, and mountainous areas. In the absence of wind, the power generation efficiency is high. With the help of laser wind measurement radar and intelligent dispatching and regulation, the stable output of power can be guaranteed, and China is not only pursuing construction and ignoring the protection of the ecological environment. On March 17, 2021, Datang New Energy dismantled 17 wind turbines in Dushan, Guizhou as required. The dismantled wind turbine equipment will be transferred to other wind farms for reinstallation. This move is to strictly adhere to the ecological red line. We want Jinshan Silver Mountain, and at the same time protect the clear waters and green mountains.

At present, China's wind power projects are upgrading to the direction of large bases and multi-energy complementation. Wind power + industries such as wind power storage, wind power hydrogen production, and wind power complementarity have become investment trends in the wind power industry. Under the guidance of the dual carbon goal, wind power, especially offshore wind power, will become an inevitable choice for China to vigorously develop renewable and clean energy. Clean energy such as wind power and photovoltaics will occupy an important position in the energy structure in the future.Editor/XingWentao
