In Rwanda's Southern Province, a smooth, two-way asphalt road winds its way along rolling hills, linking the towns of Huye, Kibeho, Munini, and Ngoma.
As one of the Belt and Road cooperation projects jointly built by China and Rwanda, the construction of the Huye 66-kilometer road upgrading project started in April 2019. Due to the impact of the new crown epidemic, the project was postponed to October 2022. During the peak construction period of the project, more than 600 local employees were employed, and a group of equipment operators and skilled workers were trained.
