Repeated COVID-19 outbreaks, inconvenience for overseas buyers to come to China, and rising freight costs for raw materials have brought severe challenges to international trade. Zhejiang Yiwu, known as the "world supermarket", overcame the adverse impact of the epidemic and took multiple measures to strengthen the international trade chain. From January to March this year, the total import and export value reached 106.29 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 63.9%.

Eyes connect the world to capture new vitality

In a crystal shop in Yiwu International Trade City, Xiao Ding, a salesman, is making a remote video connection in front of the shelf, and the other end of his mobile phone is connected to Palestine. Affected by the epidemic, it is inconvenient for overseas merchants to come to China, and remote live broadcast has become the "eye" of their procurement. "The customer is worried that the size of the lampstand is relatively large, and the shipping fee will be more expensive?" asked Xiao Ding, a salesman. "No problem, the main body and lamp holder can be disassembled, and the packaging does not take up space." Liu Rongbin, the person in charge of the store, replied immediately.

"The solution is always more difficult than the difficulty. If the merchants can't come to the store to buy, we will turn our work online." Liu Rongbin freely switches between computers and mobile phones to communicate with merchants from all over the world.

Improve the status of import re-export hub, build RCEP import goods distribution center; seize the blue ocean market of cross-border e-commerce in Southeast Asia, and build a cross-border e-commerce model innovation center... After RCEP, the world's largest free trade agreement this year, came into effect, Yiwu people keenly felt new opportunities.

"The tariffs of many products exported to Japan will be reduced year by year, and we are seizing the opportunity to become bigger and stronger." Xiang Wanggao, general manager of Zhejiang Haiyuan International Freight Forwarding Co., Ltd., introduced that in the first quarter of this year, they applied for a total of 92 RCEP certificates from the customs, with a total of 92 RCEP certificates. Obtained nearly 200,000 RMB of preferential import tariffs from Japan.

Statistics show that in the first quarter, Yiwu Customs issued a total of 48,885 certificates of origin enjoying preferential free trade agreements, with a value of 1.006 billion US dollars, an increase of 14.43% and 33.49% year-on-year respectively, which can reduce the import country tariff of 319 million yuan for related export goods. .

Digitalization of trade takes you to China

Under the driving force of digital transformation and the pressure of the epidemic, Yiwu market vigorously develops Internet e-commerce, social e-commerce, and live broadcast e-commerce, strengthens the ability to digitally connect online and offline, and accelerates the development of new trade formats and new models.

As a comprehensive service platform for digital trade, "Yiwu Small Commodity City Chinagoods" has entered more than 60,000 brick-and-mortar stores since its launch two years ago, integrating 2 million upstream and downstream small, medium and micro enterprises, with more than 5 million types of goods, and achieved a year-on-year transaction volume in the first quarter of this year. An increase of 90%, and the cumulative transaction volume exceeded 21 billion yuan.

The digitalization of trade has also opened up new channels for economic and trade cooperation between China and other developing countries. In the Rwanda exhibition hall of "Take You to China", various commodities are neatly displayed, and a large number of buyers are looking for Chinese goods here every day. Abdu, a Rwandan businessman, has just negotiated an order worth 100,000 yuan with a customer. This batch of pot sets and small household appliances will be sent to Rwanda from Yiwu.

Yiwu Mall Group actively improves the network system of overseas sites and establishes a digital trade hub in Rwanda. "Take you to China" is the offline exhibition hall of the digital hub in Rwanda. Through the method of "showing samples in the exhibition hall, remote negotiation, and bonded warehouse shipment", cross-border orders can be quickly concluded and goods delivery can be realized.

Four Hong Kong Universities cooperate to help smooth flow of goods

Although the cost of international shipping has risen sharply, with the strong support of railways, customs and other units, the "Yi-Xin-Europe" China-Europe train from Yiwu has been running non-stop, maintaining a normalized and high-density operation, which has played an important role in China-Europe international logistics. As a channel, a total of 370 trains were opened in the first quarter of this year, a year-on-year increase of 10.1%.

In order to fully guarantee the daily operation of the train and the expansion of major projects overseas along the line, on March 10 this year, Yixinou Trade Service Group signed a contract with the Zhejiang Branch of the People's Insurance Company of China for strategic cooperation, and launched it in a timely manner according to market customer needs. A package of insurance services and products.

In order to alleviate the contradiction between supply and demand of foreign trade enterprises "one box is difficult to find", in February this year, Yiwu Municipal Government signed a tripartite strategic cooperation framework agreement with China COSCO Shipping Group Co., Ltd. and GLP Investment (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. By taking advantage of its business advantages and GLP's warehousing infrastructure advantages, it will realize the powerful combination of Yiwu "Cargo", COSCO "Ship" and GLP "Park", effectively promote the logistics upgrade of Yiwu, and accelerate the construction of a modern trade hub.

Yiwu's pace of opening up international logistics arteries is accelerating: digitalization moves forward the port functions and shipping resources of Ningbo Zhoushan Port, and enhances the level of openness; innovating Yiwu-Ningbo-American Express, Yiwu-Europe truck flights, and Yiwu-Laos trains to improve Logistics timeliness... Now, Yiwu has become the only pilot city in Zhejiang Province where the "four ports" of dry port, sea port, airport and information port are linked. Editor / Zhao E
