On May 7, 2022, the "Announcement of the Environmental Impact Report of the New Ruijin-Meizhou Railway (Draft for Comment)" was officially released. At present, the preliminary design appraisal and repair of the project has been completed and will be approved, and construction is expected to start before the end of 2022.

The newly built Ruijin-Meizhou Railway is located in southern Jiangxi Province and northeastern Guangdong Province. It starts from Ruijin Station of the existing Ganlong Railway, passes through Huichang County, Anyuan County, Xunwu County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, and Pingyuan County and Mei County, Meizhou City, Guangdong Province. District, Meijiang District to the existing Zhanglong Railway Meizhou Station, the new main line length is about 240.415km. The project speed target value is 160km/h, the total construction period is about 4.5 years (54 months), and the total investment is about 18.24 billion yuan. Ruijin, Huichang, Anyuan, Xunwu, Meizhou and other places along the route were an important part of the Central Soviet Area during the Agrarian Revolutionary War. Ruijin was the seat of the Provisional Central Government of the Chinese Soviet Republic and made great contributions to the revolution.

Ruimei Railway

The new main line is 240.415 kilometers long, and the existing Zhanglong line is 3.893 kilometers long and 3.893 kilometers long. There are 140 bridges of 49,005 linear meters along the whole line, and the bridge proportion is 20.38%; there are 88 tunnels of 128,576 linear meters along the whole line, with a tunnel-to-line ratio of 53.48%; the main line bridge-to-tunnel ratio is 73.86%.

There are 7 stations on the whole line, including 2 connecting stations (Ruijin Station, Meizhou Station), 4 intermediate stations (Huichang Station, Anyuan Station, Xunwu Station, Pingyuan Station), and 1 Ronghui Station (Tianxin Station), Another long-term reservation will make 11 stations; 4 new 110kV traction substations will be built.

The Jiangxi section of the project has a total length of 165.356 kilometers, with 83 bridges of 31,505 linear meters, 52.5 tunnels of 89,888 linear meters, and the proportion of bridges and tunnels is 73.41%; 12 stations (including the reserved 7); the total length of the Guangdong section is 75.059 kilometers. There are 57 bridges of 17,500 linear meters, 35.5 tunnels of 38,687 linear meters, the proportion of bridges and tunnels is 74.86%, and 6 stations (including 4 reserved).

The longest tunnel in the Jiangxi section is the Sanbaishan Tunnel with 10194m; the longest tunnel in the Guangdong section is the Bazhuang Tunnel with 10686m.

Station settings

There are 18 stations on the whole line (7 newly built recently, 11 reserved), followed by Ruijin Station, Wuyang Station (reserved), Litang Station (reserved), Huichang Station, Massachusetts Station (reserved), Tianxin Station, Caifang Station (reserved), Tieshan Station (reserved), Anyuan Station, Hewu Station (reserved), Xunwu Station, Nanqiao Station (reserved), Bachi Station (reserved), Bank of China Station (reserved), Pingyuan Station, Rezhe Station (reserved), Lingquan Temple Station (reserved), Meizhou Station. Among them, Ruijin Station and Meizhou Station are connecting stations, and the conditions for the introduction of the Ruimei Railway have been reserved. Huichang Station, Anyuan Station, Xunwu Station, and Pingyuan Station are intermediate stations, Lingquan Temple Station is a freight station, and the others are all stations.

Ruijin Station: Ruijin Station is located on the southeast side of Ruijin City, and the Ganlong Railway runs through it. The station has a total of 13 arrival and departure lines (including 5 main lines), one 500×9×1.25m basic platform, three 500×10.5×1.25m intermediate platforms, one 12m wide overpass and one 8m wide tunnel.

At both ends of the station, the rail connection conditions of Nanrui Railway and Ruimei Railway are reserved. The locomotive turn-back station is located on the left side of the station, with 5 maintenance lines and 1 unloading line. The cargo yard is located to the right of the station, with 2 cargo loading and unloading lines. There is a comprehensive maintenance area on the left side of the station.

The main line of Ruimei was introduced into Ruijin Station, combined with the division of labor at Ruijin Station and the reserved conditions for the introduction of two lines of Nanrui Railway, in order to avoid the cross-interference of passengers and goods, a locomotive turnaround was cancelled, and the existing turnout No. 66 was rebuilt and introduced into the line. There are 12, 14, and 16 strands in the corresponding electrification. The East Throat reserves the conditions for the connection of the Nanrui Railway and the connection between the line and the Nanrui Railway.

Huichang Station: The mileage of the center of the station is DK39+682. The station has 4 arrival and departure lines (including 1 main line), and the effective length of the arrival and departure lines is 650m; there are 550.0×8.0×1.25m basic platforms and 1 side platform each. Another 1-8m wide tunnel is set up.

On the opposite side of the station, the cargo yard is set up, and the layout of the comprehensive maintenance work area is set to be the same as the left side of the station. There are 3 cargo lines in the cargo yard, 1 loading and unloading line for bulk cargo and bulky cargo, and 2 loading and unloading lines and 2 platforms for warehouse platform cargo (two platforms with two lines).

Tianxin Station: This station is a near-term opening station. The mileage of the center of the station is DIIIK71+800, and it is located on the 4‰ slope. 3 arrival and departure lines (including 1 main line) will be set up in the near future. The distance between the arrival and departure lines on the opposite side of the station and the main line is 5.3m to meet the two-way overrun freight trains. The effective length of the arrival and departure lines is 650m. Right side of the line. The station is equipped with a 50×6×0.3m operation platform, and a 50×40m yard for equipment and living rooms. This site is an unattended stop.

Anyuan Station: The mileage of the center of the station is DIIIK115+415.5. The station has 4 arrival and departure lines (including 1 main line) with an effective length of 650m; 500.0×8.0×1.25m basic platform and 1 side platform each. , and another 1-8m wide tunnel.

There is a comprehensive maintenance area on the right side of the station, and a freight yard on the opposite side of the station. There are 2 cargo lines in the cargo yard. Bulk goods and bulky goods share one loading and unloading line, and warehouse platform goods have one loading and unloading line and one platform.

Xunwu Station: The mileage of the center of the station is DK147+421. The station has 4 arrival and departure lines (including 1 main line) with an effective length of 650m; 550.0×8.0×1.25m basic platform and 1 side platform each. , and another 1-8m wide tunnel.

Meizhou Station: Meizhou Station is a section station on the Zhanglong Line. It is about 3km away from the city center and has convenient transportation. The station building was built in 2002 (locally funded), with a station building area of 35,000m2, including 12,000m2 for railways and 1,100m2 for passenger waiting rooms. . The station is equipped with 4 arrival and departure lines (including the main line), the effective lengths are all greater than 650m, there are 1 passenger intermediate platform and 1 basic platform, 4 shunting lines and 2 pull-out lines. The locomotive turn-back section is located on the opposite left of the station, and the cargo yard is located on the same left of the station.

The Ruimei Main Line is introduced from the north side of Meizhou City. It crosses the Meijiang River in parallel with the Longmeilong Passenger Express and then runs along the north side of it. The Pankeng Line is set up at DK244+345.47 to connect with the Zhanglong Railway to Meizhou Station, and the center of Meizhou Station Station. Mileage Zhanglong Line K240+740.

Zhanglong Railway is a non-electrified railway. The introduction of Ruimei Railway requires the main line of the signal section of the Zhanglong Railway Pankeng Line to the Longchuan end of Meizhou Station, as well as the 1st to 6th tracks of Meizhou Station, the J3 track of the locomotive turnaround section and related The electrification of the throat approach is carried out to meet the needs of the passenger and freight trains on this line to be replaced with internal combustion engines.
