On May 7, 2022, the capping of the north and south main towers of the Yellow River Super Bridge of the Zhanlin Project was successfully completed, and the construction tasks of the double key lines of the main girder push-up and the main tower construction made significant progress, laying a solid foundation for the project to be completed and opened to traffic on schedule.
The Yellow River Bridge is a key control project of the project, with a total length of 4,630 meters, of which the main bridge has a total length of 962 meters and a main span of 442 meters. It is the bridge with the largest span in the lower reaches of the Yellow River. The push construction, with a weight of over 27,000 tons, created the highest push construction of composite beam cable-stayed bridges in the lower reaches of the Yellow River, and was the first large-scale use of UHPC ultra-high performance concrete without coarse aggregates in the country. The bridge has a total of 4 main towers, the tower height is 154 meters, which is equivalent to a 51-story building. The tower body is constructed with a hydraulic climbing formwork system, and the construction safety requirements are extremely high. It finally took 372 days, and the main tower was successfully capped according to the established plan.
The Zhanhua-Linzi highway has a total length of 107.58 kilometers, an estimated investment of 19.56 billion yuan, a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour, two-way six-lane, and is planned to be completed and opened to traffic in 2022. After the project is completed and opened to traffic, it will further strengthen the interconnection between Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and improve the layout of the expressway network in northern Shandong.Editor/Ma Xue
