German energy storage company Trina Solar, in partnership with inverter maker Power Electronics, will install battery energy storage projects worth more than 1GWh by the end of 2023. The two companies signed a letter of intent to collaborate during the Intersolar Europe2022 event on May 23, 2022. The BESS system will feature Trina Storage's Elementa technology, a modular BESS solution that is said to deliver 25 percent more cycles than competitors.
Terry Chen, head of Trina Solar's overseas energy storage business, said: "Integrating a powerful inverter with Trina Solar's high-performance BESS is a necessary step in building an increasingly promising future of energy storage, in which Customer needs for higher system performance and lower risk BESS solutions can be met. This partnership will also expand opportunities for customers to better control their assets and maximize cost-effectiveness.”
Launched during the Intersolar Europe event, Trina Storage's Elementa solution features Power Electronics PCSK battery inverters. The company plans to bring the technology to Europe before bringing it to the U.S. market. Luigi Bariani, Power Electronics Business Development Manager, said: "Our enthusiasm for working with Trina Solar, from day one of continuous collaboration between cross-functional teams, from technical solutions to successful implementation in the field."
Power Electronics manufactures solar inverters for photovoltaic (PV) plants in Europe, Oceania, Asia and the Americas. Its products are installed in nearly 1,300 factories in 35 countries around the world. Keywords: engineering construction, engineering news
