On May 20, 2022, the longest sea-crossing bridge in Guangxi - the east main tower of the Longmen Bridge was successfully capped! So far, the main towers on the east and west banks of the Longmen Bridge have all been capped, and the bridge has gradually entered the cable system construction stage.

The Longmen Bridge is the first kilometer-level suspension bridge in Guangxi, with two main towers in the east and west. The tower height is 174 meters, the main tower is poured with C55 grade marine concrete, and the concrete pouring volume of a single main tower is 19159 cubic meters, which is divided into 30 sections for pouring construction. The two main towers are overall in the shape of upper narrow and lower width, adopting the Chinese classical gate shape design, the tower body shape integrates the cultural characteristics of the regional traditional archway, realizes the high integration of architectural aesthetic design and structural design, and enhances the landscape visual effect and architectural beauty of the main bridge. 

After the project is completed, it will open up the card points of Guangxi Binhai Highway, greatly reduce the temporal and spatial distance between Fangcheng Port and Qinzhou Port, effectively promote the integration process of Beiqin and Defense, promote the high-quality development of the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone, and facilitate the construction of the new western land-sea corridor.Editor/Ma Xue
