The Wuzhou-Leye Highway (Yufeng-Yizhou Section) is an important part of the "Guangxi Expressway Network Planning (2018-2030)" layout plan 1 ring, 12 horizontal, 13 vertical and 25 lines, and a central horizontal 5 line Wuzhou-Leye Highway. After the completion of the highway, it will be the second highway passage between Liuzhou and Hechi after the Yiliu section of the Shankun Expressway, and it will be an intensified line of the Yiliu section of the Shankun Expressway.

The construction of the highway will not only provide a fast passage to Hechi in the south of Liuzhou, but also provide a horizontal main road for the south of Liuzhou, and connect the Liuzhou Jingheshan to Nanning Expressway, G72 Quannan Expressway, G7212 Liubei Expressway under construction vertically. The organic connection between the expressway and G6511 Wuliu Expressway is of great significance for Liuzhou to build a national comprehensive transportation hub.
