A few days ago, after public announcement, the Hainan Branch of the Central China Academy of Sciences successfully won the bid for the power access system scheme and related special service projects of the Shenergy Hainan CZ2 Offshore Wind Power Demonstration Project. This project is the first offshore wind power demonstration project access system and related special service projects in Hainan Province. It is also the first offshore wind power access system project with the largest power installed capacity undertaken by Huazhong Institute, laying a solid foundation for the institute to develop the offshore wind power market. Shenergy Hainan CZ2 Offshore Wind Power Demonstration Project was approved by the Hainan Provincial Development and Reform Commission on February 25, 2022, and the preliminary work is currently underway. The wind farm site of this project is located at the CZ2 site in the northwest waters of Danzhou City. It is one of the projects laid out in the "Hainan Offshore Wind Farm Project Planning" approved by the National Energy Administration. The sea area of the wind farm is about 192 square kilometers, the center of the field is about 25 kilometers away from the shore, and the water depth is 15-25 meters. The installed capacity of this project is 1,200 MW, with a total investment of about 15 billion yuan. It is planned to start construction in June 2022. The construction period is 24 months. It is planned to install 150 wind turbines with a single capacity of 8.0 MW and supporting Build 2 220kV offshore booster stations and 1 onshore centralized control center. The preliminary plan is sent to the onshore centralized control center through 4-return submarine cables, and the length of the submarine cables is about 130 kilometers. The Hainan Branch of the Central China Academy of Sciences is responsible for the access system design and related special services of the project.
