On the morning of June 14, 2022, Haiyang City held a centralized start-up activity for key projects. Eight key projects with a total investment of 10.52 billion yuan cover three categories of infrastructure, manufacturing and service industries. Among them, as the main venue, it covers three categories of seven network infrastructure, manufacturing and service industries. Among them, the groundbreaking ceremony of the 500MW project at Site V of the SPIC Peninsula South China Sea Wind Power Base as the main venue was officially launched.

The 500MW project at Site V of the SPIC Peninsula South China Sea Wind Power Base, located in the Shuang-Carbon Smart Valley of Haiyang Dingzi Bay, is the first batch of offshore wind power demonstration projects in Shandong Province in 2021 - the Peninsula South No. 3 and No. 4 offshore wind power projects were successfully connected to the grid After power generation, another clean energy key project. The project is invested and constructed by the Shandong Branch of State Power Investment Corporation. It is planned to complete an investment of 6 billion yuan within this year to achieve full-capacity grid-connected power generation. The total installed capacity of the project is 500MW, with 71 new offshore wind turbines, one offshore booster station and one onshore centralized control center, covering an area of about 13.43 acres. At present, the main construction of the electrical installation building of the onshore centralized control center is underway.

According to reports, compared with conventional coal-fired thermal power units with the same installed capacity, the wind farm can save about 470,000 tons of standard coal every year, and correspondingly reduce exhaust emissions: 1.289 million tons of carbon dioxide, 287.7 tons of sulfur dioxide, and 299.9 tons of nitrogen oxides. , but also save 2.4303 million cubic meters of fresh water. It can effectively reduce hazardous waste discharge and sea pollution, optimize the layout of the clean energy industry, improve the clean energy industry chain, speed up the conversion of new and old kinetic energy and green and low-carbon development in Haiyang City, and help Haiyang City achieve its goal of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.
