ENOWA, a subsidiary of Saudi gigaproject NEOM, will develop the first desalination plant powered by 100% renewable energy. The desalination plant deal was finalized as part of a memorandum of understanding signed by ENOWA, ITOCHU Corporation and Veolia. The desalination plant, operated by Clean Energy, will be located in OXAGON, NEOM's city of advanced manufacturing and innovation.
Commenting on the MoU, ENOWA CEO Peter Terium said: "At ENOWA, our vision is to create sustainable abundance of the most fundamental elements of life, in harmony with nature.
