The four cities join forces to draw a "circle". Promote the urbanization development of Chengde Meizi and the construction of Chengdu metropolitan area. By mid-2022, how will projects in various fields in the Chengdu metropolitan area be advanced?

On June 20, 2022, the fifth meeting of the Sichuan Provincial Leading Group for Promoting the Development of Chengde-Mei-Zi Urbanization was held in Meishan. The reporter learned from the meeting the latest progress in the planning and construction of the urban railway in the Chengdu metropolitan area.

The construction of the capital line has completed a cumulative investment of about 3.6 billion yuan

The Chengzi Line starts from Futian Station in the west and ends at Ziyang North Station in the east. The total length of the line is about 38.7 kilometers. There are 7 stations in total. There are 4 A-type vehicles in the city area, and the maximum running speed is 160 kilometers per hour. The total investment of the project is about 12.9 billion yuan. The construction period is about 48 months, and the trial operation is planned to be opened at the end of September 2024.

The construction of the Chengzi Line started in November 2020. At present, the main structure of 6 stations has been capped (the remaining 1 is under construction of the main structure of the station); 5 shields have been downed, accounting for 36% of the total excavation. As of the end of May 2022, the total investment of the capital line was about 3.6 billion yuan (of which 1.3 billion yuan has been completed in 2022, accounting for 43% of the annual planned investment), and 28% of the total project investment has been completed.

Chengde Chengmei line carries out preliminary research

The Chengde Line starts from Weijianian Station in the south and ends at Deyang North Station in the north. The total length of the line is about 70.8 kilometers. There are 15 stations in total. There are 4 urban A-type vehicles in groups, and the maximum running speed is 160 kilometers per hour. The total investment of the project is about 28.69 billion yuan, with a construction period of about 50 months. It is planned to start construction in 2022 and start trial operation at the end of 2026.

According to the pre-feasibility study plan corresponding to the multi-level planning approval, the Chengmei Line starts from Honglian Station in the north and ends at Music Square Station in the south. At present, the total length of the line is about 58.0 kilometers, with a total of 12 stations, using 4 urban A-type vehicles in groups, the maximum running speed of 160 kilometers per hour, the total investment of the project is about 20.96 billion yuan, and the construction period is about 50 months. It is planned to start construction in 2022. The trial operation will be opened at the end of 2026. Recently, Meishan City proposed to extend Music Square Station by one station and one section, about 1.3 kilometers to Meishan East Station of Chenggui High-speed Railway. At present, the Provincial Development and Reform Commission is actively communicating with Meishan City and the National Development and Reform Commission to report the line extension.

Under the overall coordination of the Chengde Meizi Urbanization Development Leading Group and its office, and with the strong support of the relevant provincial and municipal authorities, Chengdu Rail Group actively promotes the establishment of a coordination mechanism, work approval, survey and design, and fund raising.

A coordination mechanism was established quickly. Sichuan Chengde Rail Transit Co., Ltd. and Sichuan Chengmei Rail Transit Co., Ltd. have been registered and established in September 2021. The three cities have established deliberation and coordination agencies respectively. Scheduling, the company is in charge of the leadership's weekly scheduling" promotion mechanism.

Work can apply for approval and proceed as soon as possible. The main feasibility study report has been completed and passed the expert pre-review. Among the four supporting elements that must be met for approval, the project energy consumption statistics table and passenger flow forecast report have been completed, the planning site selection and land use pre-examination and demonstration report have been submitted to the Department of Natural Resources; the social stability risk analysis report has been prepared and submitted. The eyebrow line has completed the review.
