Belgium-based green energy company Parkwind has partnered with Greek construction company Intrakat to jointly develop offshore wind projects in Greece. The partnership is part of Parkwind's broader international expansion strategy.

Headquartered in Leuven, Parkwind will develop, finance and operate offshore wind farms in Greece. The company currently has four wind farms in operation in the Belgian North Sea, the fifth of which is being developed in Germany. The company said the capacity it manages will soon exceed 1GW. Intrakat is part of Intracom Holdings, a major company in the Greek construction industry. The partnership will combine Parkwind's knowledge of offshore wind development with Intrakat's local infrastructure experience.
