On June 23, 2022, the Renjiatai Tunnel of Shaanxi Xiyan High-speed Railway was successfully completed, and it was also the first tunnel to be penetrated on the entire Xiyan High-speed Railway.

The Renjiatai Tunnel of Xiyan High-speed Railway is located in Yijun County, Tongchuan City, Shaanxi Province, with a total length of 523.62 meters. It is a loess tunnel and will start construction on August 15, 2021. The tunnel passes through the loess beam, the north is high and the south is low, the terrain is undulating, the geological conditions are all grade V surrounding rocks, the maximum burial depth is 80 meters, and the soil cohesion is small and the self-stabilizing ability is poor. There is a collapse situation, and the safety risk is high.

The Xiyan high-speed railway is the first high-speed railway in the old revolutionary area in northern Shaanxi. It is an important part of the national high-speed railway network including the Yinhai high-speed railway channel. Together with the planned West-Chongqing high-speed railway, it forms a north-south channel and is an important component of the main framework of the high-speed railway network in Shaanxi. . The total length of the line is 299.8 kilometers. The construction standard is a double-track high-speed railway with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour.
