Subsea7 has signed a memorandum of understanding with Dutch hydrogen technology developer OneSea Energy to collaborate in the field of offshore floating green hydrogen production. The MoU stipulates that OneSea and Subsea7 will jointly explore and develop sector-specific solutions for offshore hydrogen production.

The two companies will jointly participate in development research and continue to identify and evaluate suitable concepts and technologies to enable and accelerate the development of large-scale offshore green hydrogen. OneSea has developed several concepts to produce floating green hydrogen from shallow to deep water.

The fast-track and plug-and-play features of its design allow for rapid deployment of units with minimal disruption to existing offshore energy generation projects. The company said it offers complete turnkey leased floating hydrogen production solutions and operations. The goal of the One Sea business model is to de-risk the client's initial cash-intensive asset investment and provide a fixed-rate solution that guarantees delivery of the promised output.Editor/XingWentao
