On June 24, 2022, Guoxuan Hi-Tech (USA) Co., Ltd. and Jujuy National Energy Mining Company signed a cooperation agreement in Argentina. The two parties decided to establish a joint venture Guoxuan Jujuy Mining Co., Ltd. and plan to build a battery-grade lithium carbonate production line. , to further promote the implementation of the company's supply chain globalization strategy. Geraldo Morales, Governor of Jujuy Province, and Li Zhen, Chairman of Guoxuan Hi-Tech, witnessed the signing.

In this signing, the two parties agreed to establish a joint venture company to establish and operate a battery-grade lithium carbonate refinery in the Perico Free Trade Zone, Jujuy Province, to conduct research and development and production of lithium carbonate and other related products, with an annual output of 10,000 tons planned in advance. The battery-grade lithium carbonate production line will be planned to build a 50,000-ton battery-grade lithium carbonate production line in the second phase according to market demand.

According to the agreement, JEMSE will be responsible for the exploration of local potential lithium ore resources and the provision of other mining rights, as well as the supply of industrial-grade lithium carbonate for the project. Guoxuan Hi-Tech will provide technical support. The two parties also decided to cooperate on downstream businesses of the lithium industry such as cathode materials and lithium battery manufacturing. In the future, Guoxuan batteries produced in Jujuy Province are expected to be used in Germany, India, the United States, Spain and Vietnam.

Both parties believe that this cooperation is a classic case of direct investment in JEMSE by Chinese-funded enterprises, and is of great significance to the future development of Jujuy and Guoxuan.
