On June 28, 2022, the Zhongshan Bridge of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor officially closed.

The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor connects Shenzhen on the east bank of the Pearl River Estuary and Zhongshan on the west bank of the Pearl River Estuary. It is a core hub project in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, with a total length of 24 kilometers, of which the bridge project is about 17.2 kilometers long. It is planned to be completed and opened to traffic in 2024. Zhongshan Bridge is one of the key control projects of the deep-medium passage. It is a two-tower cable-stayed bridge with a main span of 580 meters. The whole sea-crossing cable-stayed bridge steel box girder.

At present, the construction of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel is steadily advancing. The completion rate of the investment plan in 2022 exceeds 50%, and the established goal of "more than half of the time and more than half of the task" has been completed. Zhongshan Bridge will enter the construction stage of road surface and ancillary facilities; Lingdingyang Bridge is in the process of erecting main cable strands and superstructure construction; East and West artificial islands are progressing in an orderly manner; Subsea immersed tunnels have completed the installation of 26 pipe sections in total, and are moving forward.
