On June 27, 2022, Nigeria time, Energy China China Power Engineering Corporation North China Institute and the Power Transmission and Transformation Corporation of Nigeria (TCN) officially signed the general contract for the 330 kV transmission line from Abia State to Anambra State in Abuja. This project is another cash exchange project obtained by the North China Institute in Nigeria. The signing of this project will further promote the rolling development of the North China Institute in the Nigerian power market and promote the in-depth cooperation between China and Nigeria in the energy field.

The North China Institute is responsible for the design, manufacture, supply, installation and trial operation of the 330kV double-circuit four-split transmission line in Nigeria. On the basis of the original single-circuit transmission line, the project rebuilds the double-circuit four-split line transmission line, and constructs extension feeders for the existing Alaoji Power Station, Onitza Power Station and Ishiala Access Power Station. After the project is completed, it will effectively relieve the power supply pressure in southern Nigeria, greatly improve the reliability and flexibility of regional power supply, and drive local employment.

Since receiving the bid winning notice from the owner, the project team has overcome the adverse impact of the new crown epidemic, actively communicated and coordinated with the owner and financial institutions through email, telephone, video conference and other methods, and finally successfully completed the contract negotiation and signing. . The successful signing of this project is another major achievement of the North China Institute in actively implementing the "1466" strategy of China Energy Construction, and vigorously expanding the Nigerian power market under the leadership of the two-tier group, which provides a strong guarantee for the North China Institute to deepen the Nigerian market. Editor/XuNing
