On June 29, 2022, all three main towers of the Taiping Lake Bridge on the Anhui Chi-Huang High-speed Railway were capped.

The Chi-Huang high-speed railway connects Chizhou City, Anhui Province and Huangshan City, Anhui Province, with a total length of 125.1 kilometers and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. The terrain along the line is complex, and the scenic spots are connected. The bridge-tunnel ratio of up to 89.34% is relatively rare in the construction of high-speed rail in the Yangtze River Delta region. The whole line has 5 stations including Chizhou Station, Jiuhuashan Station, Huangshan West Station, Yixian East Station and Huangshan North Station.

Taiping Lake Bridge is the only control project on the entire Chihuang high-speed railway line. The bridge spans Taiping Lake from north to south, with a total length of 926 meters, of which the main bridge is 788 meters long. Both are 228 meters, creating the largest span among the multi-tower low-tower cable-stayed bridges of China's high-speed railways. The top of the main tower is 47 meters high above the bridge deck and adopts the form of a vertical bridge tower.Editor/Ma Xue
