On June 28, 2022, 10 key water network projects, including the Heitanhe Reservoir Project in Qujing City, Yunnan Province, were started in a centralized manner, with a total investment of 5.013 billion yuan.

The Heitanhe Reservoir Project is a major project included in the National 14th Five-Year Plan for Water Safety, and it is also one of the three major water diversion projects in Yunnan Province. The project is located on the Heitan River, a first-class tributary on the right bank of the Niulan River, with a total storage capacity of 136 million cubic meters.

After the project is completed, the total water supply will reach 48.044 million cubic meters, which will guarantee the domestic water supply of 172,000 people, and increase the irrigation area by more than 11,000 mu.Editor/Ma Xue
