On July 4, 2022, the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission issued a notice on issues related to printing and distributing the second batch of market-oriented grid-connected new energy projects in the autonomous region in 2022. A total of 67 projects were included in the list. Among them, two new energy projects including the Hami solar thermal storage and multi-energy complementary integration green power demonstration project invested and constructed by China Energy Construction were selected.
According to the list, the total installed capacity of 67 projects is 47,832,500 kilowatts, of which 27,390,000 kilowatts are photovoltaic projects, 13,495,000 kilowatts of wind power projects, and 6,947,500 kilowatts of storage capacity. The distribution and storage types include solar thermal and electrochemistry. Among them, there are 13 solar thermal power generation projects with a total of 1.35 million kilowatts, accounting for 19.43% of the distribution and storage scale.
The China Energy Construction Hami solar-thermal storage and multi-energy complementary integrated green power demonstration project invested and constructed by China Energy Construction Investment Corporation ranks first in the project list. The total designed installed capacity of the base is 1.5 million kilowatts, including 1.35 million kilowatts of photovoltaic and 150,000 kilowatts of solar thermal. . According to the notice, the projects included in the list are deemed to be on record, which marks the official landing of the world's largest solar thermal storage demonstration base project in Xinjiang.
