Phase II expansion project

The total investment of the second-phase expansion project of Yangzhou Taizhou International Airport is estimated to be 5.627 billion yuan, of which the airport project is 5.477 billion yuan. The design is based on the near-term target year (2030) of 10 million passengers. The main construction contents include a new 3,200-meter parallel taxiway and a corresponding taxiway system; a new T2 terminal building of 97,000 square meters; A total of 36 seats (33C3E); supporting the construction of production and living facilities such as air traffic control, deicing pad, security, navigation lighting, fire protection, communication, power supply, oil supply, water supply and drainage.

According to reports, the second-phase expansion project of Yangzhou Taizhou International Airport is one of the key transportation projects in Jiangsu Province from 2022 to 2024. It is also included in the comprehensive passenger transport hub project library of the 14th Five-Year Plan of the Ministry of Communications. The integration strategy is to implement the active measures of the provincial party committee and the provincial government's strategic deployment of a strong transportation province.

In the future, after the completion of the project, the comprehensive security capability of the airport will be further enhanced, the radiation and driving capability of Yangtai Airport's tourism aviation hub will be enhanced, and a new chapter in the high-quality development of the airport will be promoted and opened to better support the rapid economic and social growth of the Yangtai area.
