On July 20, 2022, the kick-off meeting of China Construction Eighth Bureau Unmanned Beam Factory (UBF) was successfully held in Henan Yanhuang Expressway project. The launching ceremony also unveiled the China Construction Eighth Engineering Group Co., Ltd. Joint Research Center for Intelligent Assembly and Innovation of Reinforced Frames.

The unmanned beam factory adopts an industrialized model to organize production, and at the same time integrates intelligent technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things to realize a smart factory that automates the entire process from material transportation, semi-finished product processing to finished product assembly.

The R&D team continues to tackle key problems, innovating "three-in-one" intelligent forming and loading of stirrups, automatic processing and distribution of longitudinal bars, streamlined installation of steel skeletons, full-cycle flexible production of formwork, intelligent concrete vibrating and quality feedback control, and prestressed steel beams.
