At the construction site of the Khalifa Industrial Zone (KIZAD), which is more than 60 kilometers north of the city center of Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, when you look around, you can see thousands of miles of yellow sand. An engineering construction team from 13 countries is in full swing.
After 12 months of day and night construction, a high-standard vaccine factory built by China Construction Middle East Company, a subsidiary of CSCEC, is rising from the ground under the scorching sun. This is the first vaccine factory invested and constructed by China in the United Arab Emirates. The latest cooperation achievement between the two countries in the medical field, the vaccine factory will be produced in the region after the vaccine factory is completed.
At present, the main structure of the vaccine factory is nearing completion, and the follow-up construction is also progressing in an orderly manner. Amjad Fazat, a Syrian construction manager who participated in the construction, said: "I have been working in the UAE for 15 years and will join China Construction Middle East in 2021. I am very proud to be able to build such a vaccine factory in the UAE. It will help more Arab countries." He hopes to apply the knowledge and techniques he has learned in his work to the reconstruction of his hometown in the future.Editor/Ma Xue
