On July 26, 2022, CRRC Tangshan Company's export of Porto Metro in Portugal rolled off the line in Tangshan and will carry out a train test, marking the countdown to the official delivery of China's export to the EU urban rail project.

CRRC Tangshan will produce 18 subway trains totaling 72 (4 cars each) for Porto Metro Company, and provide 5-year maintenance services.

According to the characteristics of Porto's existing tracks and infrastructure, CRRC Tangshan has newly designed the wheel tread and car body structure, which can run on most of Porto's subway lines.

Through the train-ground wireless communication system, the train status information and fault information can be sent to the ground operation and maintenance assistance platform in real time to realize intelligent operation and maintenance. The train is equipped with a passenger counting system, which sends the passenger flow information to the control center in real time to achieve precise operation.
