On July 28, 2022, the candidates for the survey and design projects of the Hotan-Shigatse Railway, the Bomi-Ranwu Railway, the Yunnan-Tibet Railway, the Pingliang-Qingyang Railway, the Lop Nor-Ruoqiang Railway, and the Jiaozuo-Pingdingshan Railway were announced and released. From July 28, 2022 to August 1, 2022.

The survey and design content of the project includes the feasibility study of each railway to the design stage of construction drawings, indicating that the six railways will be officially started pre-construction work, including Bomi to Ranwu, Lop Nor to Ruoqiang, Jiaozuo to Pingdingshan, Pingliang to Qingyang Other projects are expected to officially start construction during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.

Hotan to Shigatse Railway

This project is located in Tibet and Xinjiang, and has been included in the 14th Five-Year Railway Development Plan. It is an integral part of the railway along the border. The project construction is of great significance for filling the gap in the border road network, stabilizing the border and strengthening the border, and enhancing national unity.

This project was won by China Railway First Survey and Design Institute Group Co., Ltd. with a bid price of 288 million yuan.

Yunnan-Tibet Railway

This project has been included in the development plan of the 14th Five-Year Railway. The line will be drawn from the Lijiang-Shangri-La Railway under construction and connected to the Sichuan-Tibet Railway. The construction of the project is of great significance for filling the gaps in the road network in the border areas, stabilizing the border and strengthening the national unity. The bidders should carry out multi-plan comparison and selection based on the geological conditions along the route and the regional road network.

This project was won by China Railway Eryuan Engineering Group Co., Ltd. with a bid price of 95.08 million yuan.

Bomi to Ranwu Railway

This project is located in Tibet and has been included in the 14th Five-Year Railway Development Plan. The project construction is of great significance for strengthening military-civilian integration, improving national defense support capabilities, and stabilizing borders.

This project was won by China Railway First Survey and Design Institute Group Co., Ltd. with a bid price of 22.58 million yuan.

Lop Nur to Ruoqiang Railway

This project is located in Xinjiang and has been included in the 14th Five-Year Railway Development Plan. The construction of this project has positive significance for regional resource development and making up for the shortcomings of the southern Xinjiang railway loop.

This project was won by China Railway First Survey and Design Institute Group Co., Ltd. with a bid price of 20.6 million yuan.

Jiaozuo to Pingdingshan Railway

The project is located in Henan and has been included in the 14th Five-Year Railway Development Plan. The project construction is of positive significance for enhancing the mobility flexibility of the main road network such as the Hunan Corridor and promoting the high-quality economic and social development along the line.
