On July 1, 2006, the Qinghai-Tibet Railway was put into operation. Since then, a group of people have walked into the third pole of the earth and took root in the "forbidden zone of life".

Li Biaolin is currently the director of the Tanggula Line Workshop of the Golmud Works Section.
